Ran Mullins is an NYC-based American artist and entrepreneur who cares deeply about the elephants' plight.
1970: Born in Cincinnati, Ohio.
1985: Develops undiagnosed seizure disorder while living in Los Angeles, CA.
1988: Father David J. Mullins dies at age 42. Graduates from high school. Attends Art Academy of Cincinnati in the fall.
1989: Begins work at Mary R. Schiff Library, Cincinnati Art Museum.
1992: Receives Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Art Academy of Cincinnati. Begins work on Elephant Graveyards.
1993: First solo exhibition - in situ Gallery, Cincinnati, OH. Existence Solace: Sanity Threshold.
1994: Solo exhibition - Kraine Gallery, New York, NY. Elephant Graveyards Drawings.
1995: Moves to Greenwich Village with sculptor Gina Hartmann. Drawing printed in The New York Times Book Review. Returns to Cincinnati.
1996: Solo exhibition - Elephant Graveyards: Beyond Extinction at Chelsea Gallery. Paintings and Drawings. Leaves Cincinnati Art Museum in a publicly documented dispute with Director Barbara K. Gibbs. Receives support from Art Academy faculty and students and museum volunteers and curators. Solo exhibition - McDonough Museum of Art - Ran Mullins: Paintings and Works on Paper.
1997: Participates in group exhibitions nationwide. Founds Metaphor Studio.
1998: Solo exhibition - Southern Ohio Museum - Ran Mullins: Paintings and Works on Paper.
Exhibition of landscape paintings - Ten Songs from Eden with music by Rich Bitting and collages by Gina Hartmann.
Travels to England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales during a three-month sojourn researching ancient stone sites with his partner, artist Gina Hartmann.
1999: Antenna Arts Association granted Artist's residency in Cincinnati, OH.
Establishes Metaphor Studio in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, OH.
2000: Establishes iRhine community marketing initiative for Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, OH.
2006: Marries Suzanne Beane, purchases and renovates historic Langdon House in Columbia-Tusculum, Cincinnati, OH.
2009: Sells Metaphor Studio to Leapfrog Interactive.
2010: Founds Allegori.
2011: Founds Globili with Bill Donabedian.
2013: Is appointed CEO of Cleriti. Travels to Switzerland, Kenya, and Israel.
2015: Founds Relequint.
2017: Moves back to New York into Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
2021: Moves to Meatpacking District in Manhattan. Joins board as Secretary of NOoSPHERE Arts in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
